The Epic EVO has a seemingly modest 20mm more front travel and 10mm more rear travel than its sibling, the Epic. The EVO’s new suspension kinematics work with the front and rear-specific Rx XC Tune suspension to make the most of every centimetre of travel, while still retaining all the characteristics of efficient pedalling.
The Epic EVO still offers the most capable progressive XC geometry ever featured on an Epic. It’s also more versatile than ever, thanks to a new rear end equipped with flip-chips that allow riders to adjust the head angle (by half a degree) and bottom bracket height (by 10mm), making it easy to tailor the handling of the Epic EVO.

The Specialized Epic is one of the most iconic cross-country bikes in our sport, having earned more medals and titles than we care to count; but with the word “EVO” added to its name, this racing machine becomes a completely different tool. If you’re unfamiliar with the term EVO, all you need to know is that it’s Specialized’s way of saying it has taken a classic design and expanded its capabilities. In the case of the Epic, that means the bike has gained longer forks and a dropper seatpost. The aim was to transform this XC race bike into a lightweight trail shredder. Our testers spent some time on the latest version of the Epic, but the EVO promises a completely different ride.
