The Scott Foil RC road bike is a breakthrough for road bikes as a whole. Using SCOTT’s own F01 technology, every tube and junction is designed for optimum aerodynamic efficiency. Computer simulations and wind-tunnel testing confirm that this is the fastest SCOTT road bike ever. 
One of the most advanced features of the new Foil RC is its patented Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost. It is designed to absorb vibrations on uneven surfaces while keeping the rider in an optimal position and enabling them to transfer maximum power to the pedals – even on cobbles or light gravel. Its dual-layer design, with a load-bearing carbon section, flexes under impact. An integrated Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL rear light is also available. It fits directly into the seatpost, maintains its aerodynamic shape and offers three operating modes with a power output of 20 Lm.
All Foil RC models feature dropped seatstays, which increase comfort while reducing drag. The stays angle forwards by 10°, directing airflow towards the rotating spokes for additional aerodynamic benefits. This design also allows the disc brake callipers to be mounted out of sight, reducing drag and creating a clean, elegant look.
The Foil RC features an oversized frame head tube, allowing fully internal cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting systems. It also acts as an aerodynamic air deflector, splitting the airflow and reducing drag while riding.
SCOTT’s engineers tested more than 300 different designs to find the best carbon lay-up. The result is 30% fewer carbon parts and joints than the previous Foil model. By carefully optimising the smallest details, such as the seatstays and seat clamp, they achieved a significant weight reduction without sacrificing stiffness.
