Innovative Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost

One of the most advanced features of the new Foil RC is the patented Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost. It is designed to absorb vibrations on uneven surfaces while keeping the rider in an optimal position and enabling them to transfer maximum power to the pedals – even over cobbles or light gravel. Its dual-layer design, with a load-bearing carbon section, flexes under impact. An integrated Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL rear light is also available. It fits directly into the seatpost, maintains its aerodynamic shape and offers three operating modes with a 20 Lm output.

Dropped seatstays for speed and comfort

All Foil RC models feature dropped seatstays, increasing comfort while reducing aerodynamic drag. The stays angle forwards at 10°, directing airflow towards the spinning spokes for additional aerodynamic benefits. This design also allows the disc brake callipers to be mounted out of sight, reducing drag and creating a clean, elegant appearance.

Lighter and stiffer construction

SCOTT engineers tested more than 300 different designs to find the best carbon lay-up. The result is 30% fewer carbon parts and joints compared with the previous Foil model. By carefully optimising the smallest details, such as the seatstays and seat clamp, they achieved a significant reduction in weight without sacrificing stiffness.
