Wider down tube and bottom bracket junction

To make the most of power transfer from the pedals to the drivetrain, SCOTT engineers designed the down tube and bottom bracket junction with the largest cross-section of any road bike on the market. The wide design and smooth transitions between the tubes transfer loads more efficiently and create exceptional torsional frame stiffness. The result? Greater pedalling efficiency, as power is transferred directly to the drivetrain—with no loss from frame flex.

Hollow frame structure

The entire frame is designed as a completely hollow construction with an exceptionally clean interior—something you’ll rarely see in other frames. This approach allows for maximum weight reduction without compromising stiffness or performance.

“Sandwich” fork dropouts

The dropouts on the Addict RC are specifically designed for integration with a thru-axle system. Their hollow tubular design enables a simple, exceptionally lightweight yet robust construction—for better power transfer and more precise bike control.

Evo-Lap technology

With Evo-Lap technology, SCOTT uses computer simulation (FEA) to determine precisely how the carbon fibres are distributed throughout the frame. This allows them to optimise tube shapes, fibre orientations and load distribution. The result? An exceptionally lightweight, stiff and comfortable carbon frame that retains its strength and impact resistance despite its low weight.

Integrated cable routing

The Addict RC and Foil models feature fully integrated cable routing—for both mechanical and electronic shifting. The engineers achieved this without compromising the stiffness of the cockpit or the quality of shifting and braking. Despite the high level of integration, cable servicing remains straightforward and mechanic-friendly.
