Frequently asked questions:

What is the difference between the KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click and the KICKR CORE Zwift One?

The Wahoo KICKR CORE Zwift One trainer has been updated to the KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click. The new model adds Wi-Fi, Race Mode, KICKR Bridge, redesigned legs and multi-colour LEDs.

What is Race Mode?

Race Mode improves responsiveness by increasing the trainer’s power data transmission rate from 1 Hz to up to 10 Hz. Instead of sending average power once per second, it updates with every rotation of the flywheel, capturing small power spikes during fast sprints or attacks. The result is more precise pacing, planning and acceleration timing in racing scenarios. Available only with Wi-Fi, Race Mode gives the CORE 2 a premium racing advantage, making virtual competition more accessible and precise.

Which bikes and drivetrains is the KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click compatible with?

Designed for versatility, the CORE 2 works with most road, gravel and mountain bikes, allowing seamless integration into a range of setups. Out of the box, it supports Shimano HG freehubs for 8–12-speed cassettes, with optional freehub bodies for SRAM XD/XDR or Campagnolo (excluding Shimano Micro Spline and 13-speed Campagnolo N3W). It is available in three configurations: with an 11-speed cassette, with Zwift Cog and Click for virtual shifting, or ready for a cassette. Hub compatibility includes 130/135 mm quick release and 12×142/148 mm thru-axles.

Does the KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click include a Zwift membership?

The KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click no longer includes a Zwift membership. New Zwift customers receive a free trial, after which their own subscription is required for continued access to Zwift.
