Monocoque construction for greater efficiency

The new Scale RC uses a monocoque construction, in which the main part of the frame – the front triangle – is made from a single mould. Drawing on its carbon expertise, SCOTT has created a frame made from just three separate sections, joined together. Fewer joints mean lower weight and greater stiffness, resulting in greater efficiency – exactly what matters in hardtail race bikes. Designed as a complete unit, the frame distributes all forces evenly.

Easy maintenance

A dedicated service opening in the down tube provides easy access to the inside of the frame without having to remove the bottom bracket. This makes servicing and cable routing much easier.

Design follows function

The aim in designing the new Scale was to achieve the perfect balance between simplicity and efficiency. Guided by the principle that “form follows function”, the result is a race-ready XC bike with a clean, simple design, an aggressive look and a character that radiates speed and determination.

Syncros Fraser iC integration

The new Scale is equipped with a Syncros Fraser iC handlebar and stem combo. Cable integration posed a major challenge, so the designers developed a special shape that routes the cables beneath the handlebar and along the sides of the stem before they disappear into the headset. Plastic inserts ensure a clean, efficient look, without unnecessary bends or kinks in the cables. All Syncros cockpit systems also offer mounting options for computers, lights or cameras, both above and below.
