F01 Airfoil technology

With its own F01 Airfoil technology, SCOTT shapes every tube and junction to achieve optimum aerodynamics. The design has been validated through computer simulations and wind tunnel testing, which means one thing: this is the fastest road bike SCOTT has ever created.

Syncros Creston iC SL Aero

The Foil is equipped with the exceptionally aerodynamic Syncros Creston iC SL handlebar and cockpit, tested in a wind tunnel. The result is a slimmer, more aerodynamic design that improves the bike’s aerodynamics.

Comfort and stiffness have also been improved through intelligent stiffness tuning: the handlebar is more compliant under lighter pressure, such as when riding on the hoods, but stiffens when you move into the drops and push on the pedals, helping you make the most of your power.

Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT

One of the bike’s most innovative features is the patented Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost. This carbon seatpost adapts to uneven surfaces and absorbs vibrations, helping you stay stable in the saddle on rough roads, gravel or cobbles while maintaining maximum power transfer to the pedals.

The Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL rear light is also available separately. It is USB rechargeable and integrates neatly directly into the seatpost without compromising aerodynamics. The light has three operating modes and an output of 20 lumens for safe riding day and night.

Lightweight design

SCOTT tested more than 300 different frame designs and developed an improved carbon fibre lay-up. Compared with the previous Foil model, the number of parts and joints has been reduced by as much as 30%, saving 9% in weight. No compromises were made on stiffness, with attention also paid to details such as the chainstays and seat clamp.
