The CUBE Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie SLX 400X 2026 is an electric children’s mountain bike with an air-sprung fork and dropper seatpost, designed for young riders to enjoy trail riding and family outings. Its geometry, tailored for young riders, and reliable components make it possible to learn technical skills safely on varied terrain.
It sits in the mid-range of versatile trail e-bikes for children. With 24-inch wheels and 80 mm of front travel, it offers an excellent balance of handling and damping for younger riders. It is designed for aspiring recreational riders who need extra assistance to tackle climbs and want to explore moderately technical descents safely.
On technical climbs, the lightweight Bosch Performance SX motor with 55 Nm of torque and grippy 2.35-inch Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres provide smooth traction over roots and rocks.
On all-day family rides, the 400 Wh battery and comfortable Agile Ride Geometry reduce fatigue, making it easier for young riders to keep up with the pace of adults.
On fast descents, the Suntour Raidon34 air fork with 80 mm of travel and the dropper seatpost provide stability and a controlled feel when negotiating woodland obstacles.
The bike is designed as a OneSize model for children between 124 and 141 cm tall, with an inside leg measurement of 57 to 66 cm.
The maximum rider weight, including clothing and equipment, is limited to 50 kg.
The 400 Wh battery is usually sufficient for all-day family rides of up to 60 km with moderate assistance on varied terrain, depending on the child’s weight and the gradient.
