This versatile tyre is ready for any challenge, even the toughest. Its proven racing tyre profile delivers responsive handling and secure grip. Based on activated silica compounds, this technology was originally intended for a performance-level compound. However, following intensive development by our research and development department in Korbach, an advanced new compound with exceptional grip and rolling properties was developed. This new rubber compound, aptly named “PureGrip”, sits just below our BlackChili compound and is used in our performance products for both road and mountain biking. While providing excellent grip, it is also long-lasting and highly durable – both characteristics of Continental tyres, which are manufactured exclusively at our factory in Hefei (Asia).
