The Mezcal XC UCI-licensed Edition celebrates Vittoria’s long-standing partnership with the International Cycling Union (UCI). This unique version of the popular Mezcal tyre features the UCI logo and an elegant rainbow inscription on the tyre sidewalls.
The UCI-licensed Mezcal XC edition has the same high-performance tread patterns as the top Mezcal versions, while using a robust and flexible 60 TPI nylon casing, a folding tyre ready for tubeless use (or with an inner tube!), and a versatile yet durable, puncture-resistant rubber compound for all conditions.
The continuous centre line has staggered side knobs, designed to multiply the number of edges that propel you up the trail. The rear sipes on the knobs are angled for fast cornering on hard and slippery surfaces. Whether climbing, cornering or descending, no tyre is as versatile as the Mezcal.
Nylon:
Nylon is a robust and durable synthetic fibre traditionally used for stronger tyres. Nylon threads are thicker than cotton threads, so tyres have a lower thread count per inch. The advantages of nylon tyres are that they are strong and durable, extending the life of the tyre. However, as a synthetic fibre, nylon is not as flexible as cotton.
Nylon tyres are a better choice if you’re looking for durability and puncture protection.
